FutureGood Hosts Special Session to Support DOGE’d Federal Workers in Reimagining Their Futures
In response to the recent wave of DOGE-related layoffs impacting federal employees across the country, futurism consultancy FutureGood hosted a special, closed-session workshop today to focus on affected workers and help them chart a new course forward. The event, Reimagine Your Future: A Special Session for DOGE’d Federal Workers, provided participants with futurist tools to navigate career disruption and prepare for what’s next.
Led by Trista Harris, philanthropic futurist and President of FutureGood, and Alondra Cano, FutureGood Visioning Strategist and longtime public servant, the session used the Two Curves Framework—a powerful model designed to help individuals identify which parts of their work to leave behind, and which skills and values to carry forward into the future.
“DOGE’d workers are not expendable,” said Harris of the session. “They are experienced, mission-driven public servants whose skills are urgently needed in the social sector. We want to honor their service and offer a path forward rooted in purpose, vision, and community.”
Harris added, “Part of FutureGood’s mission is to care for those who do good for a living. This webinar was an opportunity to share the expertise we have to benefit this group, and we hope to see this kind of support echoed throughout the social sector.”
In a time of uncertainty, the webinar provided not only practical foresight tools but also a moment of reflection and possibility. Participants explored how exponential thinking and futures frameworks can empower them to shape their next chapter with clarity and agency.
